ABOUT
SUPPLY CHAINS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR SUSTAINABILITY.
AGILE and ACCURATE Supply Chain mapping
down to Tier 3 and 4 suppliers is a black hole.
But it is the key to our sustainable transition.
Supply chain impacts account for more than 80% of greenhouse gas emissions and more than 90% of the impact on air, land, water, biodiversity and geological resources.
Map-Collective was envisioned in 2016 and incorporated in 2020 by systems designer Tara Gupta with the mission of visualizing the planetary carbon crisis, in order to comprehend solutions within the macro context.
However, the team found in their research that the essential data on supply chains, the building block of each carbon footprint, was missing.
Map-Collective has been under deep R&D with funding from the National Science Foundation SBIR program to develop a comprehensive GHG emissions calculator that factors in the planetary boundaries' tipping points, backed by a blockchain verification system.
The team has not only pursued cutting edge innovation around GHG emissions tracking, but has developed an end to end traceability to automate Scope 3 and 4, and has developed additional toolkits to service both commercial and governance organizations related to this level of traceability.
